Guerillas In the Mist

The world within is a mysterious place; as the mists weave their way deep inside, there is a powerful sense of quiet alongside an edge of wariness as to what lies hidden amongst the weaving threads of consciousness and the mists of the unknown. In many ways, these mists represent the soul, but they seem nebulous and intangible; beyond words and definition, and on this journey to Self, we want clarity and vision, not the unknowable and the indefinable.

As we stand hidden in the mists within, we can hear the fog horns in the distance and see the radiating rays shining out from the lighthouse leading the way. It is all too easy to see why so many step back from the world within, for it can be a place of mystery and uncertainty, yet at the same time, as we stand consciously in the mists, our eyesight begins to adjust and we can feel a deeper connection to the world of the soul. It is at the heart of these mists where we feel at One with the gentle and undulating rhythm of the soul, and where we can, ultimately, find clarity and vision.

There is a sense that we need to have faith and step into the mists in order to find ourselves. Although we may become lost or disorientated, if we pause, breathe and re-centre, we can feel the strength rising up from within leading the way.  The more we can become One with the true ebb and flow of the soul, the more we can rest in the stillness and let go of fear. Of course, the future is unknowable, but if we can rest fully and consciously in the present, then the need to chase rainbows stops as we become the rainbow and find Truth.

Of course, the fog horn and the lighthouse presents a somewhat eerie and disconcerting scene for many, and instead of finding the stillness and the strength in the mist, some find yet more fear and angst. Fear builds upon fear, and in time, it erodes and corrodes the stillness and leads to a disconnection between mind, body and soul. Yet, to stand strong in the mist takes courage, for fear is a very real and very potent force. If we sense the presence of guerrillas in the mists of the soul, and let them lead the way, we start to give them power, shape and form.

Change is unknowable, and the current shifts, twists and turns are intense and beyond definition. Yet, intuitively we know that we are a part of this change, and to fear it or resist it seems futile. Whilst we will want to understand it, for that is a part of being human, to give in to it now feels like walking backwards. Inevitably, there will be some that succumb to the fear and step back, but there are many now who are ready to merge the unknowable with the knowable in order to fully embrace the new waves of consciousness as they lap the shores of the soul.

Once we realise the beauty and the treasure of the soul, we realise that the mists are simply our fears and our worries, as well as a reminder that much of the expanse within is still unchartered terrain. This is exciting, for it means that we have much still to experience and discover, celebrate and embrace!

As we continue to open up our hearts, minds and souls to Truth and to the magnificent joy of Wholeness, the waves of bliss and love grow stronger and richer. Whilst there can be no denying that the journey of awakening has, thus far, been a journey of epic proportion, the discoveries made along the way have been inspirational, empowering and heart-warming on many levels. During this process, we have opened up to strength, Truth, intent and vision, and the more we embrace these qualities, the more we realise that we are ready to fully embrace our gifts in order to live the best lives possible.

It is important to acknowledge the role that each of us has played in the journey of awakening, for every single moment before now has been in preparation for the present. Although each of us has had times when we have felt like driftwood being twisted and shaped by the currents and carried along with the ebb and flow of the tides, intuitively we can feel and sense the shifts along the way as we have awakened and risen up to become the beacon of light shining brightly within, radiating through the mists with strength, clarity and vision. So, whilst we may feel powerless, we need to gently re-centre and remind ourselves that we are Whole and then our strength and Divinity can lead the way...

The Cusp Point

It is hard to deny the unmistakable feeling that life is reaching something of a ‘cusp point’; a sense that we are approaching a time of energetic climax and realisation. Although this ‘cusp point’ feels powerful and intense, the predominant and overwhelming feeling of this time is both exciting and liberating. It seems clear that it is our perception of this moment of energetic climax that shapes and defines our experience; see it as a tsunami charging towards us, full steam ahead, and we can feel powerless and afraid, but if we see ourselves as riding the crest of the wave towards a new dawn of consciousness and way of being, the whole dynamic changes.

As the different waves and threads of consciousness all merge together into the ‘cusp point’, there is a sense of shift and change on many different levels of being. At the same time, the need to ‘let go’ seems to be growing in intensity as we step back from resisting and fighting the flow in order to become One with both ourselves and the Divine. Resistance is a part of being human, for we strive to understand and analyse our experiences (for that is how we grow and evolve), but there is a risk that we can become paralysed in analysis and unable to let go of the side rails in order to become One with the heaving mass of energies and currents converging within.

Of course, letting go is not for the feint-hearted, for it means having faith in the unknowable and having trust in the present moment rather than remaining focused on the path ahead. Even when the path ahead is murky and hidden from sight, we can still struggle to find ‘the answers’ in order to move our lives from where we are to where we want to be. However, the more conscious and present we can be in the moment, the more we can celebrate all that we are and all that we have. Whilst we may not be living the life of our dreams, by living consciously in the present, we are making the most of every single moment instead of projecting ourselves and our energy into the future to some moment that hasn’t happened yet.

This is not about losing sight of dreams or goals, but it is about remaining centred in the present moment in order to feel Whole and complete NOW! Once we can feel truly centred in the moment, we stop chasing the horizon and realise that, as Creators, we have it within ourselves to shape and define our lives in a very different way. In essence, we become the energy of all that we are, instead of trying to reach towards it as something in the distance, and such a monumental shift allows us to feel the joy of being, and feeling, Whole and complete.

So, instead of fearing the forthcoming ‘cusp point’ it seems clear that, by opening up to it and embracing it, we can ride the crests of the wave and celebrate the moment consciously and whole-heartedly. This is a time to feel the liberation and freedom within as we become One with the waves lapping the shores of the soul and allow this time of energetic climax to take its course...

There's No Place Like Home

As we continue to weave the web and become One with the flow of life, it can be hard not to have those moments where suddenly everything stops making sense. Equally, are those moments; those lightning fast flashes where suddenly everything starts making sense. It is not uncommon to experience both in rapid succession, and to end up feeling more, but less, confused all at the same time.

This is all part of the path of awakening, but it is hard to ride the waves of change when such thoughts can fragment and unify at the same time. It is akin to taking one step forward and one step backward, and although this implies standing on the same spot, at a deeper level, much has been learned in the process.

The tangles and knots that we find ourselves in as we try to understand the path to Self can overwhelm and consume if we allow them to. If we step too deeply into analysis, we can lose sight of the bigger picture and disconnect from our Truth and essence. Of course, this is easy to say but somewhat harder to do, for we are human and we need to make sense in order to place ourselves in a flow of understanding; we want to feel a part of the Whole, but we need to understand what this means before we can truly feel it and be it.

Weaving the web and riding the waves are great ways of describing the somewhat rambunctious, rowdy, raucous, obstreperous and vociferous energies flooding into consciousness at the current time. As wave after wave laps the shores of our souls, we can feel pensive and unsettled with the bedlam and chaos. Yet, at the same time, there is something quite heart-warming about these waves, for each one brings knowing, wisdom and insight, and each one takes us closer to ‘home’.

‘Home’ is this context is the core of our beings; it is our soul. On the path of awakening or the journey to Self, finding home and living there is the goal, for once we are home, we are in Truth and in love. When we are home, everything feels different, but in essence nothing has changed, for we are simply remembering who we really are.

The journey home is more a state of being than an act of doing, for doing implies we need to go out and ‘get’ or find something, and the key to the door home on the journey to Self is not to be found in the world around us; for it is already within us waiting to be acknowledged and ‘turned’ in the lock to the door of the soul.

Although trying to understand is innately human, there is a sense that we need to open up more to feeling ‘home’ now as we open up the door to the soul and step more consciously into our essence and Truth. We can all too easily get lost by the wheels of the mind turning and trying to seek out answers, and whilst this will never stop (this is part of our evolution), the journey within is less about reasoned understanding but more about open-hearted at-Oneness; a feeling of inner unity and love, and a sense of belonging that is beyond questions and the mechanics of the mind.

In a way, these moments of knowing and un-knowing are representative of the pendulum within slowly finding stillness, and whilst this can feel deeply unsettling, it is an important part of the awakening process. Whilst there will be days when everything ‘makes sense’ followed by days of abject confusion and bewilderment, the key to riding these waves is to stay conscious and aware of the stillness within.

Although this stillness might feel like we are (metaphorically) sitting in the eye of the hurricane or at the heart of a twister, the more we step into the stillness, the less affected we are by the bombardment of the waves. It is important not to distance ourselves from these, for we need to experience them in order to awaken, but at the same time, the more we centre in stillness, the more we connect to the amazing and incredible joy of being ‘home’...

The Sunshine After The Rain

There can be no denying the intensity and vigour of the wave upon wave of shift lapping the shores of our souls at the present time. Whilst there are times when we can feel lost in the currents, there are other times of crystal clear clarity and vision which inspire us to have faith and to keep on, keeping on.

With the vim and vigour of these shifts amplifying now, they are ricocheting deeply into our hearts, souls and lives, opening us up to the full majesty and magnificence of divinity. When we truly feel ourselves as a part of the Divine, everything changes; to reach such a stage takes courage and strength, for it involves going within and validating the Self. At the same time it involves letting go of the need for external validation and becoming truly at peace with our Selves. This is not about ego; it is about acceptance and openness.

When we step beyond fear and open up to our natural and divine state of being, we loosen those shackles that have bound the mind like ivy around a tree, and we begin to feel the power of free thinking and positive intent. This goes beyond positive affirmations, to a place of deep inner knowing and faith.

It is important to realise that every single one of us is a part of the Whole, and, as a result, we all have access to Divinity and to the power within. Of course, it is how we use this power and embrace this Divinity that ultimately shapes and defines our lives, and our destinies.

With such powerful shifts lapping the shores of the soul, it is understandable that so many amongst us are feeling lost, alone, uncertain and confused. Opening up to our Divinity is not for the feint hearted, for it involves opening up all of the senses and the soul to the true awe and power of the Divine and of our Selves. Whilst it would be great if this process was all ‘sweetness and light’ and fluffy pink bunnies; for most of us, it isn’t. There are likely to be days when the dark nights of the soul feel endless, and there are likely to be days when the senses go into overload where it is hard to take in the vibrating, heaving mass of energy in every single corner of existence; it is as though we become ‘too awake’ and our senses cannot take it all in.

However, there are also likely to be days when we see the new dawn breaking and we feel clarity in our hearts and souls. There will also be days when the world will feel more ‘alive’ than ever before: every tree, every leaf, every insect, every grain of sand – everything moves into sharper focus and brighter colour, and we become even more aware of the vibrations and the energy of Creation. Such moments instil hope and faith, for as well as sensing the world around us, we also sense the world within us and feel a growing sense of peace that we are becoming Whole and embracing our true state of being.

So, when we have those days or those moments which stop us in our tracks and open up our hearts and souls to the wonder of All, we should embrace the moment and become One with the magic and the inspiration.

These tumultuous times are challenging us on so many levels, and it is all too easy to feel like pawns in a massive game of Universal chess, but when we connect to the stillness that lies at our cores, we re-centre and the changing currents start to dance with us and through us, rather than around us to confuse us.

On those days when the rains come, we can feel the heaviness of the grey skies and the chill of the damp or we can accept that the rain is playing its part in watering the soul, just as it waters the land and gives life to the crops. We can resist the rain, but it is an integral part of the cycle of life; once we accept this, we become One with it. So, when the shafts of sunlight dance on the glistening water drops as the rain starts to ease, we can finally feel the joy of being fully conscious and awake...

The Universal Flow

As we continue to awaken and stir, there is a powerful air of inspiration stirring deeply within that is calling each of us to step consciously into the Universal Flow in order to become Whole. Part of this process involves letting go of the resistance (something we all have on some level, for that is part of being human), and this takes courage, vision and strength, for it involves facing our Truth and facing our souls and letting go of the storylines and beliefs that have moulded, shaped and defined our lives.

Life experiences often create storylines and belief patterns, for this is our way of understanding the experience and making sense of what happened. Yet, all too often, such storylines can stifle and contain our true essence as we try to protect ourselves and avoid feeling that way again. Of course, not all storylines are negative in essence, but even positive ones can end up stifling, for they can dance and sway taking us away from being centred and feeling Whole; we can get lost in the dance and lose sight of the bigger picture and the journey home (to Self).

There are times when we need to face our storylines and lean into them in order to understand them, but there are times when we need to acknowledge them and set them free. Sometimes, trying to understand them becomes onerous and draining, for we can become even more consumed by them in the process. It is important to accept that these storylines have shaped and defined our lives, but at the same time, it is important to realise that they only continue to shape our lives if we allow them to.

Such a realisation is a big one, for once we can accept this we can see that by changing these storylines, we can change the shape of our lives. This is not a new concept, but it is one that so many struggle with; self-knowledge and self-awareness is power, and when we open up to this and embrace it, we stop being powerless pawns in the storylines of our lives and instead become the author with pen in one hand and a fresh, crisp page in the other. Whilst this doesn’t mean that we won’t face challenges or hardship on the road ahead, it does mean that our perceptions of this have changed enabling us to realise the true and majestic force of our strength, our courage and our Truth so we can face the future with vision, power and love.

So, as we sit with pen poised and ready to write the next chapter of our lives, we need to be clear about what we truly want. Whilst many of us have ideas and dreams, goals and visions, shaping these into something more tangible is important, for if we cannot know what we want, how can we ‘write’ it into being? We all have differing perceptions of abundance, happiness, joy, wealth and bliss, and this is what makes humanity such a diverse and complicated heaving mass of souls. Yet, it seems important now to have the courage to stand up tall in order to declare our own vision of abundance and to connect to the intent of this vision in order to give it shape, energy and form.

As we re-write the story’s of our lives and let go of the storylines that no longer define us, we can feel like a true part of the Universal Flow; we become One with it and become it as we  merge with the currents and find our true state of being...

The Eye of the Tiger

As the winds of change continue to gather momentum, there are distinct currents of shift and change occurring on different levels of consciousness. One moment, we feel centred, calm and collect; but the next we can feel disconnected, disenchanted and discombobulated. In the blink of an eye, we can oscillate between knowing and trust to disarray and doubt; such shifts are undoubtedly hard to manage, for they are so unpredictable. At the same time though, despite the uncertainty, there is still an overall sense of forward movement and transformation.

This is a time of intense change; the path to Self (the path of awakening) is not an easy path, but it is one that we intuitively know we are ready to walk. Knowing ourselves, being ourselves and loving ourselves lies at the core of all of this change, for it is once we have become true to our essence, that we become love and feel divinity flowing freely through our veins. We always have been Divine of course, it’s just that life’s twists and turns have so frequently tripped us up or taken us off-piste, that we have ‘forgotten’ out true state of being.

It is all too easy to say ‘be Divine’ and the rest will take care of itself, for whilst this is true, as human beings, it is not always as straightforward as this, for we like to think, to probe, to understand and to seek out meaning. We need to feel a part of our transformation and to feel a conscious shift towards ‘being Divine’. Accepting it blindly rarely works, for we need to feel it, be it and believe it.

This is a time for becoming One with the flow within in order to find peace within our hearts and souls in order to let go of the doubts, the fears and the angst connected to living consciously and being ‘awake’. This takes strength and courage, for it means facing our depths and Truth, and connecting to the source of power within.

Although we may feel lost in the tangled jungle within, it is time to find the beacons that illuminate the path to becoming Whole and complete. This is a deeply personal experience, and one that cannot be easily defined, for it means something completely different to each individual soul. Whilst we are collectively shifting and awakening, the path of Divinity is innately personal as well.

Standing firm and standing in Truth takes strength and vision, for it is a sign that we are ready to embrace All that we Are and willing to open up to being All that we can Be. This takes dedication and focus, but it goes beyond ‘doing’ and chasing dreams and rainbows, to a place of being and knowing.

Whilst we are all seeking out Heaven on Earth, it is only once we realise that it is already within our hearts and souls that we open up to letting it flow freely. It is not some state of being to chase or seek out; it is here already.

So, when we find ourselves in the tangled jungle within that life so often creates, and we feel lost and alone. When we hear the roar in the distance or snapping twig behind us, we can become consumed by fear or we can open up to the power within and realise that this inner jungle is within us; it is a part of us. We have nothing to fear from ourselves, and once we accept this, we can move through the fear and find our true majesty and strength. When we look (metaphorically!) into the eye of the tiger, we see our reflection and we see our fears and our storylines playing out before our eyes; in short, we see Truth. The jungle may be an unknown and sometimes treacherous place, but there are many treasures and joys in its midst...we just have to open our eyes to them.

Once we have overcome the fear from within, then life changes. Whilst we can never eradicate uncertainty from daily life, once we feel the strength and the power within, we no longer feel like helpless pawns or driftwood, but we become conscious and awakened, empowered and inspired, and we begin to ride the waves and dance with the winds of change with love in our hearts and joy in our souls...

Dancing Rainbows

As the path of awakening continues and as each of us chooses to live more consciously in the present moment, it seems the waves of consciousness are creating shift after shift after shift...

On the surface, life may look and feel unchanged, but when we go within we can see that we are rapidly shifting and evolving, and with each passing day we are opening up to new experiences, new ideas and new beliefs as we step more consciously on the path to Self.

When we have the courage to look deeply within, we can expect to find a wide array of cupboards and closets tucked away and hidden from view. Some of these contain painful memories and experiences, whilst some contain peace, stillness and bliss. At the same time, many of these closets appear empty, and this has been a cause for concern for many. Yet, it is the ‘emptiness’ or space within that brings us closer to Self and closer to the Divine, for space suggests an openness and awareness that we are not finite in essence, but infinite.

If we step a little deeper into this space we can sense the infinity and the power of Divinity, for it is only in the spaces (those spaces where we are beyond expectations, storylines and cycles), that we realise the Truth of our existence. The space shows a willingness to step beyond the familiar and open up to the true infinite and expansive nature of the Universe. Of course, space suggests a void or a vacuum, but it is so much more than this, for it is everything and nothing at the same time!

Without getting lost in riddles, it seems that we are ready now to open up more fully and more consciously to Source. Having the courage to allow space to rise up from within is important, for this space allows us to rest in the moment and ‘be’. In a way, the space is a sign of our willingness to evolve and step beyond boundaries in order to move towards a more conscious way of living and being.

It is all too easy to fear space, for it invokes a sense of being beyond control and beyond our comfort zones. Yet, this is the point, for it is only by relinquishing our need to contain and control that we can open up and become a fluid and free moving part of the Universal Whole. Once in such a flow, we realise the Truth and our power, our infinity and divinity.

Space is but a word, it is useful to describe the stillness within as a clear space, for it helps us to see, feel and touch it. Yet, this stillness is not a vacant plot, for whilst it is calm and still, it is teaming with life and energy at the same time! The concept of space helps us, as humans, to perceive ‘space’, but in truth, space is never empty, for it is not a vacuum; it is vibrant, alive, breathing and amazing.

When we contemplate life and take a conscious step towards Truth on the path to Self, in many ways we are seeking a simpler, but richer, way of living and being. Letting go of the complications and distractions of life in order to live more in-tune with one Self and the Universe, is a powerful and life-affirming step. Once we let go of our perceptions of the space we are seeking out, we realise that as we open up to the nothingness, we are opening up to everything at the same time, for we step beyond boundaries, limitations, restrictions and fear and instead open up to the full magnificent splendour of infinite possibility.

Infinite possibility should not feel confusing or overwhelming though, for once consciously in the space within, we realise that this is our true state of being. In essence, it is only by letting go of the clutter that we can begin to seek out more balance and wholeness, for we realise the true power of All that we Are.

As we celebrate the joy that the space within can bring us, we soon see beyond the discomfort of the void as our awareness opens up and we see rainbows of light dancing through us and with us. We then realise that we are all an integral part of the Whole; we are all Divine sparks. It is time now to let both the waves of consciousness and rainbows of light dance freely; to feel the freedom to dance with them, to open up to them and to choose to become One with them...

True Majesty

As the charge of the Light Workers continues in earnest, many souls are beginning to feel confused when it comes to finding inner balance with Light. The reason for this seems to stem from a growing realisation that whilst the Light is important, in order to find a true sense of balance, we have to be equally as open to the Dark as well. So many fear the Dark and they push it away; they cling to the Light in the hope that the Light will bring salvation, Truth and redemption. Yet, without the Dark, how can we achieve balance, for they are equal forces in the flow of life?

The journey to Self and the path of awakening means something very different to each soul; we are unique, and, as unique beings, our perceptions and understandings are personal to us; the Truth that we carry is not necessarily the same Truth as anyone else. Yet, does this mean that others are wrong and we are right, or is the opposite true?

When we take the path of Truth within, we become aware of our own inner battleground; that place within, where heart and head frequently clash, and where we can struggle to find unity with the polarities of life. Light and Dark are one such polarity, and we can spend so long focused on these polarities that we lose sight of the bigger picture. Sometimes, we get lost in trying to understand life; we look for answers, solutions and resolutions, as we seek out a rationale for our existence.

Such quests are an innate part of being human, but as we continue to awaken, it seems that we are being faced with the realisation that sometimes there is no answer. It is all too easy to see the ‘problem’ as an outside force: the job, the relationship, the income etc., but when we open up to Truth, we can see that seeking the answer is no longer important, for we realise that until we find balance within ourselves, we will continue to struggle to find understanding in other aspects of our lives.
As we loosen the shackles of the mind and stop dragging the chains of sacrifice, suffering and heartache, we can begin to widen our perspectives. Being human, it is often so hard to move beyond the inner battleground, and very often this is the reason for clinging to Light, for it takes us away from the pain that we perceive in the Dark, and yet, until we merge the two in Divine Union, we cannot grow, evolve, learn or fully awaken.

When we look beyond ourselves for the answers or the solutions, we loosen the connection that we have within, to both our Selves, and our Divinity. We are Divine, and as Divine Sparks, it is important to honour all aspects of our Selves. Sometimes this involves letting go of perceptions and ideals, and sometimes this can mean self-forgiveness. The latter may seem a little strange, but, on the whole, most of us spend so long putting ourselves under pressure to do more, be more and have more, that we continually put ourselves down and run ourselves ragged. When we open up to Truth and open up to truly forgiving ourselves, we open up to Love.

In many ways, we can see Love as the unification of Dark and Light, for Love is a powerful force that weaves into the hearts and souls of us all. Whilst some push this away, others are opening up to the true majesty and magnificence of what Love brings. Love is a state of Being, and it goes beyond trying to chase dreams or being warriors of Light, for Love allows us to live fully consciously in the present moment, connected to our Divinity and beyond denial, storylines and polarities.

It is time to move beyond fear, beyond the fear of being hurt, of being rejected, of not fitting in, of not being enough; of life, and instead open up fully to the process of living and of being alive.

Part of this process involves opening up to the healing power of the darkness as sometimes we need to let go of the drive to illuminate the darkness or to push it away; sometimes, we need to go into the darkness and let our eyes adjust. Life is created in the darkness of the womb; we are incubated in the womb and this is where we receive nourishment.  We therefore need to expand our understanding of the Dark in order to let go of the resistance and to instead be open to the inspiration that lies at its core.

If we see ourselves as seedlings planted in the rich, fertile and dark soil, and, in time, with the right cultivation, we know that we will burst forth into the Light. Yet, we do not leave the Dark behind us, for without our roots, we wither and die. Therefore it is time to honour the balance and to rediscover the Truth of our foundations.

So, it seems that we are now moving beyond the charge of the Light Workers to a more powerful and majestic flow of inner Unity, strength and Love...

Chasing Rainbows

There is something of an epic battle going on deeply within; it seems that as we continue to awaken, we are touching clarity and divinity with one hand but facing challenges, doubt and fear with the other. Our faith keeps us strong (most of the time!), but there are moments when faith melts away leaving uncertainty and confusion to rule the roost.

Intuitively we realise that this is all a part of the journey of awakening, but the reality of living with it can be somewhat harder to embrace. Of course, whilst we want to be serene and walk in grace, that little whisper in our ear that is a master doubter can chip away at our belief and our trust.

It can be hard to stomach love and light when they come crashing in on the rocks of our reality and it can be so difficult to accept that yet more shifts are on the path ahead. As we gaze forward, we could be forgiven for feeling a sense of dread at the rocky path with waves crashing in from both sides; whilst we can see the tranquil beauty of where we are heading, the path to get there feels relentlessly unforgiving.

Yet, perhaps this is more about perception than reality? Perhaps we need to shift from trying to get to where we want to be to simply being it now, in the present moment? When we see life as challenging, the walls can come in on us making it feel hard to breathe or move, but if we step back and realise that we are already Divine, then everything changes, for we are no longer chasing rainbows that never seem to arrive, but we are choosing to step fully and consciously into the present moment.

So, whilst we may feel energetically (emotionally, physically and even spiritually) squeezed, twisted and wrung out, the more we can lean into this, the more we can begin to merge consciously with the Whole and realise that our divinity is the force that defines us; our link with the Divine validates us and completes us, for the Divine is not an outside force, the Divine is within our hearts and souls; it is us.  Every breathe we take is a reflection of our Divinity and once we can embrace this, our perception of the crashing waves starts to shift and soften.

This is a time of great change and release, and we have now reached a stage where facing Truth can lead us away from the crashing waves in order to find balance in the present moment. The distant Utopia may be appealing and beautiful, but what’s important is what is happening now. The more we focus on the future and on what may or may not happen, and the more we see Utopia as some distant dream, the more we deplete our reserves and the further we step away from the Divine.

We now need to change the storylines and let go of the beliefs that hold us in fear, doubt and uncertainty.  It is the storylines and beliefs that can leave us feeling like life is spinning madly and wildly out of control; we can feel alienated from the world and from our Selves as we lose sight of our strength and Divinity, and let doubt chip away at every building block of life.

It seems time now to step into the battleground within in order to face the residual issues that we may have thought had long been resolved. Some of these will inevitably be thrown into our awareness and line of vision, for the need to find inner peace is the force driving us now; therefore, if we choose not to ‘see’ these issues, life will find a way of making us see them. There is no more sand left to bury one’s head, for the waves have washed it all away leaving the rocks exposed and the fractures clear to see.

Of course, this sounds as though there are some deep cracks within, and for some, this could be the case. However, for so many of us, these cracks are little nudges and reminders to heal, release and let go of everything that no longer serves us in life.

Seeking out peace within is a powerful process; it is a sign that we are no longer seeking external validation or becoming overwhelmed by fear or doubt, and it shows that we are opening up to the amazing and wonderful Truth of vibrant and conscious living. Such a path doesn’t magic away the challenges, but it helps us to see that every challenge and every battle helps to shape us into the compassionate and Divine soul that intuitively we know is our true nature...

The Light And Dark Stand Equal

The Equinox is a time of balance as the light and the dark stand equal. In the Northern Hemisphere, this marks the beginning of the descent into winter, but we should not forget that it marks the ascent into summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Balance; there is always balance. Sometimes we have to look for it, but nature always provides a balance whether it is day and night, light and dark, birth and death...

Yet, we can so easily become focused on the shorter days, the dimming light and the unmistakable chill in the air. It is all too easy to look ahead towards the winter rather than keeping our focus and awareness on the present moment and it is the present moment that truly matters, for this is where we are now; the past is behind us and the future hasn’t happened yet. Whilst we know this to be true, it is simple to get sucked into forward thinking, worrying and pondering about what may, or may not, lie ahead. This is human nature, but the more we focus away from the present moment, the more we deplete and drain our reserves, our energy and our focus.

During this special time of the harvest, we can see, hear and feel the abundance of nature all around us. This is therefore a special time to connect to the harvest, within and without, in order to celebrate all that we have and all that we are. Whilst we may want more in life, it is important to keep our awareness on the present moment, so perhaps it is time to take a moment to give thanks and gratitude instead of pining for what we lack, need or desire?

Giving thanks is not the same as giving up; this is not a time to let go of dreams and goals, but it is a time to re-focus and re-balance, and from this it is all too likely that our needs, dreams and desires will begin to shift and change. This is part of our personal evolutionary journey through life, and if we can embrace such shifts and remain rooted in the present, then we can begin to celebrate the true majesty of balance in life.

A flower in nature bends and flexes with the wind; its roots keep it fed, its stem points it toward the light. A bird migrates back and forth across the globe to mate; intuitively knowing where to head, and when. When we consciously step into our own natural cycles, we can begin to see our true essence and flow, and this helps us to ride the waves of life more consciously and gracefully; joyfully and abundantly.

If we allow it to, modern living can take us away from living in tune with the Earth and with our Selves. Yet, it is possible to live in the modern world and still be at One with the true flow; from watching the sunrise and sunset, to connecting with the seasons or the ebb and flow of the tides, there is always a way to be One with nature.

The more we step into the One-ness, the more deeply we go within to discover the true riches and treasures that lie hidden and tucked away. There are closets that may hide some profound and possibly painful emotions, but it seems important to have the courage now to go within to bare our souls by standing naked and vulnerable as we illuminate those darkly lit corners within. This takes courage and it takes strength, but in order to become Whole, it seems to be the only option so we can finally be free.

It is once we have faced the Truth within that we can feel a truer part of the Whole, for we let go of resistance. We can then feel our true power, and, like the majestic, and seemingly calm, tranquil and peaceful mountain, we can begin to connect to the power deep beneath the surface that is glowing, energised and highly active (a volcano waiting to burst into life). It seems that by letting go of resistance and embracing balance, we can find a path for our essence and power to flow freely like magma. If we continue to resist, we can expect a pyroclastic flow to erupt uncontrollably bringing more imbalance and incongruence.

Volcanoes destroy, but they also create, for out of the ashes comes fertile soils and new life.  Once we can accept the bigger picture that creation and destruction go hand in hand and stand equal, just like the day and night at the time of Equinox, we can begin to feel more centred as we ride the waves with more clarity and confidence, faith and trust.

Whilst we can never be certain as to what lies ahead, by embracing our true power, we stop resisting and containing, and instead become One with the flow; riding the waves, rather than fighting them or struggling. This doesn’t eradicate the challenges, but it shifts our perception helping us to handle them differently.

So, during this time of balance, it seems time to accept that being a beautiful volcano is not only okay, but it is Truth. This is not about wielding power or embracing destructive tendencies though, it is about becoming fully conscious of all aspects of Self and knowing that we are not just beings of Light, but we are beings of Dark as well. In other words, we are balance.

Randomly Scattered or A Divine Plan?

For many fellow travellers riding the waves of shift and change, this seems to be a time of disquiet and uncertainty, confusion and angst. There is a sense of the blurring of boundaries and the merging of consciousness between different levels of awareness, and this is creating feelings of disconnection from both the Self and the Whole. Discord is emerging from within, creating storylines and patterns that feel incongruent and overwhelming, and despite intuitively sensing the ‘bigger picture’, it is hard not to feel isolated and alone, cut off and disconnected.

Emotions begin to surface from anger to ecstasy, but they have no clear source or direction. They can be present one moment and gone the next, and the roller coaster can twist and turn in a flash. Trying to understand such shifts is understandable, but it can make the confusion even more intense as there seems to be little logic to the situation.

For some, this discord has been so intense that they feel ripped apart or torn in two; yet, we all remain open to the process, for intuitively we understand that this is the path of awakening. For those amongst us who are finding the journey too unsettling there are many questions surfacing in connection to what happens next and also to whether or not it might be wise to take a step backwards and step free from the chaos.

Stepping backwards is quite tempting, but how can we switch off being more awakened and more conscious? How can we forget? At the same time, stepping backwards suggests two things: firstly, moving against the flow, which although sometimes wise and necessary, can ultimately take us even further off course. Secondly, is moving backwards towards the sleeping flock really going to bring us peace, respite and balance? Will it not just leave us feeling more disconnected and alone as we cannot truly be a sheep for we have touched life as tigers? We should also consider that by choosing to step backwards, we may simply have to go through the whole process again...

Finding a way through the confusion and going with the intensity and fractious shifts seems to be the only path. We need to lean into the confusion in order to touch the stillness and the peace that lies deep within.

There is no denying that for many souls, this time of change is hard to bear. So much is happening on so many different levels, that it is all too easily to feel lost and fractured, scattered across different levels of awareness, and different realities or dimensions. Yet, it is important to find a way to ride this storm in order to re-focus on the Truth of our Divinity and our magnificence.

It seems important now to strip back the layers upon layers that have build up over time in order to find our own unique pathway to the Divine (and to Self). We are all unique, and yet we often follow the flock trying to find the answers or the solution to bring us to that much desired state of being: enlightenment. However, it seems clear that the only way through this is to go within and to find our own pathway to Divinity.

It is so easy to get lost in the storylines of spirituality as we seek clarity and we can become tied up in knots as we try to rationalise, understand and analyse every twist and turn. This is innately human of course, but there is a sense that the harder we struggle, the tighter the knots become. In order to merge and come together into a beautiful and majestic Whole, we need to strip back the layers and realise the simplicity of our Divinity; it isn’t complicated and it doesn’t have to tear us apart.

As the storylines, twists and turns continue, we may feel light-headed with the spin and pace of shift; we may also feel torn in two at times, confused, alone and uncertain of everything. Yet, when we pause for a moment and step beyond it all, we re-connect to the power within which can bring us strength, perseverance, determination, focus and wisdom.

So, when the waves become nauseatingly rough and choppy, we need to travel down to our core. If we can see ourselves with firm anchors resting peacefully on the sea floor vaguely aware of, but blissfully untouched by, the turbulence above, we can begin to re-centre and re-merge allowing those feelings of fracture to heal as we finally find completeness within...
