Riding The Wave

There is a strong sense of shift and movement on just about every level of consciousness at the current time. As we continue to feel a collective and growing sense of emergence, new life and new possibilities, it seems that through the shift and chaos, we are beginning to find our feet.

The waves of energy that are now flowing freely and quite rapidly feel quite cohesive, but  there is still a sense of scattering and chaos for we have reached a point where a myriad of different energy flows and streams of consciousness are coming together to form a more complete Whole.

In daily life we can feel connected and clear one moment, but lost and alone the next. Tears can flow unexpectedly and then in the next instant we can feel a sense of bliss and euphoria. Confusion flows into clarity, and uncertainty flows into certainty; with such a mish-mash of energies it is no wonder that we can feel totally overwhelmed and puzzled as to what is actually happening! Sleepless nights, churning thoughts, deep and profound lethargy (which goes way beyond tiredness) all bring to the surface issues and memories, pain and patterns that we may have long considered ‘healed’ or resolved. We are faced with our pain and fears in one moment, and then peace and clarity the next!

If we take a step back, we may be able to see that all of this chaos is part of a careful ‘plan’ of evolution and awakening. Yet, whilst we are in the middle of it, it is hard to see anything much at all.

As the streams and flows of consciousness continue to merge and come together, we can feel stuck in a maelstrom of undercurrents and eddy’s which can both confuse and exhaust, and whilst we can see the peace that lies ahead, the journey to this point is quite frenetic and hard to handle. It is akin to layer upon layer of different currents merging; at first, they pull this way and that, but eventually, they come together in perfection. Whilst we can know that perfection is coming, riding the chaos is somewhat challenging!

Of course we have a choice, we can fight the currents and try to hold fast, clinging to what we know; or we can have faith and trust enjoying the ride and knowing that every single experience makes us stronger and wiser.

Yet when we feel like everything beneath us is crumbling away, keeping that faith is hard. It is all too easy to say surrender and trust, believe and have faith, but doing it is considerably harder, for we are human! This is the real crux of the conundrum of awakening, for if we stay in the somewhat understandable fear, we restrict and withdraw, but when we truly do let go and have faith, we grow and evolve.

So, how to get from one side of the river to the other? We could wait for a bridge to be built or try to build one ourselves through intention, or we could find a boat to take us across. Alternatively, we could simply leap in, having faith that we can make it to the other side! The final option is to stay put and to maintain the status quo. None of these are right and none are wrong, whilst we all know that the latter is perhaps the least desirable, sometimes the challenges that life throws in our direction makes it impossible to leap.

Yet as we sit and contemplate these options, perhaps we are missing the point. Is life truly about getting from a to b? Is the grass really greener at b? Sometimes we have to free ourselves from our limiting thoughts and perceptions, and break free from the prisons that we create within that are formed by our beliefs. Why do we have to get to b to find bliss? Surely as Divine Sparks, we can create bliss wherever we happen to be in the alphabet of life? Once we realise this and feel this, that vast river disappears and we suddenly see life from a very different perspective.

Sometimes the worries and woes of daily life can keep us locked in fear, lack and restriction simply because we allow them to. This does not mean that these are not genuine worries, but how we choose to deal with them is what’s important. We can allow them to define us and shape our lives, giving them power and energy; or we can shift our awareness from seeking out that green pastured Utopia somewhere in the distance and realise that it is already within us...

Conundrums, Choices & Clinging On!

Energetically speaking, these are tumultuous and somewhat rambunctious times. In fact, on most levels there is a sense of shift, movement and change! It feels like everything is speeding up but slowing down at the same time, and it can be hard to know if we are coming, going or are hovering somewhere in between. Yet, despite this seemingly uncertain and unknowable climate, deep within there is a strong sense of certainty beginning to rise and surface! A true time of paradox and conundrums!

It seems that it is only once we have immersed ourselves fully in the chaos that we can begin to see that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. However, this goes beyond stepping from darkness into the light, this journey to Self takes us beyond polarities to a place of knowing, Truth and love. Life is so much more than dark or light, and it is only when we have touched this, that we can fully surrender to the true flow and to the full magnificence of life.

We now find ourselves standing on a precipice; the decision to cling on to what we know feels appealing, for ‘better the devil we know’, but at the same time, we intuitively know that it is time to take a proverbial leap of faith into unknown territory in order to expand, blossom and grow.

Our inner landscape continues to take centre stage as there is a need to plant some new seeds in connection to our intent for the path ahead. It is time to feel the full power of intent and to realise that we do have what it takes to manifest our dreams into reality. Of course, life is never as simple as this, for as humans, we think, we analyse, we worry, and we procrastinate! But human we are, so we need to find a path through the obstacles that we often create through fear or doubt in order to reach a new place in life. This ‘place’ is a space to allow our true Selves to shine and to live as consciously and mindfully as possible.

This is a time to navigate our inner worlds in order to break free from the fear that so often keeps us trapped and locked in lack, constriction and suffering. It is important to know that our minds are free, and how we choose to think about life is perhaps our biggest gift. As our perception continues to sharpen and shift, we are beginning to see life in a very different way.

As we realise that we have been clinging on to habits and patterns through a fear of the ‘unknown’, the process of awakening is speeding up considerably. It seems that how we choose to interpret and understand our experiences defines and shapes both our lives and the journey ahead. When we put these together, it is clear to see that the only way to grow, blossom and evolve is to break free from the patterns that have shaped us, to be mindful of our thoughts and to realise that we are not simply powerless and drifting aimlessly along with the tides of life! We are awakened, sentient beings, and the more we grasp the nettle and take responsibility for our choices, thoughts and actions, the more we can fully embrace the power within and manifest Heaven on Earth.

So, as we cling on to that proverbial precipice, we have a choice. We can either cling on by our finger nails, locked in fear, or we can surrender to the Universal Flow and trust that we will be provided for and guided forwards. Of course, this brings to the surface another conundrum, how can we surrender and trust when there are bills to pay, jobs to be done etc? These are natural human concerns, and so many of us fear losing control and seeing our world crumbling before our eyes.

Yet, should we then remain ‘on the edge’ always in fear of taking a chance? In some ways, until we trust, surrender and ‘lose control’ (for at the end of the day, what control do we really have?), we cannot truly find freedom. We become so focused on surviving and getting by, that we lose the sparkle, passion and magic of the flow of life.

As we continue to navigate through these uncertain but certain times, and as we let go of the doubt, fear and angst which is both corrosive and erosive, we can begin to gain a true sense of why we are here...

So why are we here?

We are here to shine, to radiate and to glow! We are our own Creators, and it is time to truly believe this and to know that our path is exactly the right path for us. There are endless possibilities to explore, and there are no limits, for the only limits are the ones we put there.

It is time to dissolve resistance, guilt and fear, and to intuitively know, and truly believe, that we are free. We can do, and be, all that we want; for all things are possible when we allow ourselves to believe. It is time to use the gifts that we were born with, to surrender to the flow, to trust and to believe. It is time to stop pontificating and procrastinating; to take responsibility and to create our own wondrous, amazing and magnificent reality...

The Journey to Self (Neptune into Pisces)

February looks set to see a major shift both within and without as a sea of compassion, emotion and empathy stirs and begins to rise. There is a sense of a re-awakening occurring on an intensely personal, as well as a global, level as we become more aware and conscious. This awakening has been a long time coming, but it has also been part of a gradual process of the Journey to Self.

True understanding of our essence as well as having the faith, belief and courage to step fully into the flow of life in order to live the best life possible, seems to be at the root of this journey, for each of us is seeking more meaning, depth, purpose and joy. At the same time, living more simply, more consciously and more mindfully allows us to feel more connected to the Whole and to ourselves; we become one with the Divine essence.

In some ways this Journey to Self is a natural part of our evolution as human beings, but there is also an ‘urgency’ to this quest now as each of us seeks out clarity and purpose. We want to live meaningful and rich lives, and we want to celebrate the true flow of abundance on all levels. There is no ‘right or wrong’ path or flow, for as individuals, we are unique! Even if we do find ourselves going down a dead-end path, very often it is the jewels that we find, quite by chance, that become invaluable and cherished.

As our consciousness continues to rise and many sleepwalkers begin to stir and awaken, it seems that collectively we are stepping towards more conscious and more inspired living. There have already been huge shifts around the globe, and these look set to continue...

On the Journey to Self, is seems that embracing our divinity is perhaps the most significant job on our ‘to-do’ list at the current time. Yet, what does it mean? Is this something to seek out, to be? Do we need to find a teacher or guru to show us the way? Can we buy this or download it? Where is the instruction book?!

Of course the reality of embracing our divinity goes way beyond all of the above questions. It is a state of being; a realisation that is everything and nothing at the same time. When we step beyond linear thought (questions, questions!), we realise that seeking this state of being externally from one source or another kind of misses the point. We are already divine, we just need to wake up to this and surrender to it. This is a feeling, a sense that we are no longer isolated and cut off from the world, the universe etc, but we are a part of it; an integral part. This is not about ego, it is the complete opposite. This is about becoming a drop in the ocean of consciousness and knowing that the ocean is complete with you, and incomplete without you. It is also about accepting that you are not ‘better’ than other drops either...

Moving beyond ego is hard! We want to believe that we have a special purpose; that we are ‘different’, and of course we are. Every drop in the ocean has its place, its role.  When we surrender to the ocean and become totally at one with it and ourselves, we do not lose ourselves in the process, we find ourselves! Having a special purpose does not have to be ego-based, for when we live our purpose simply because it is our calling, the energy shifts from one of ego to something completely different.

Yet, surrendering and leaping into the ocean is fearful; it is unknown and it means that we may lose everything that currently defines and separates us from everyone else. Yet, if we lose these, perhaps they are not so great to begin with? Perhaps we have clung to external fixes in order to find a way to soothe the pain of being separated from the ocean? Perhaps we have been looking in the wrong place?

So it seems on the Journey to Self, we have a choice. We can continue to cling to the external in the hope that we do find what we are searching for, or we can take a deep breath, step willingly into the ocean and become completely at One.

Embracing our divinity does mean letting go of ego, and letting go of external sources for ‘completion’, but it also means living consciously, being awake and being divine...
