Through Stormy Seas...

As the Heavens continue to weave a new web of consciousness within and without in our lives, we have reached a stage of major shift as we begin to face inner demons and fears head on. We all have crosses to bear and challenges to overcome, for that’s a part of life; sometimes things happen which we have little control over and sometimes we make choices or decisions that take us down a difficult or arduous path. There are many routes to Self, and many involve ending up in the dark recesses of life in order to move beyond fear to a place of knowing and love.

It is hard to deny the somewhat rambunctious cosmic climate that we now find ourselves in.
In many ways, life feels quite heavy at the moment, but at the same time, as the light of the new dawn breaks, there is a buoyancy and lightness which feels exquisite and Divine. As the energies ebb and flow on some levels, they swirl and eddy on others; this is confusing and it can feel overwhelming. We may find ourselves feeling tossed about by the waves and currents of life, and even treading water can feel exhausting. We may sometimes feel like a piece of driftwood being carried to ‘who knows where’; crashing against the rocks and feeling worn down and weary.

When we take a moment to step back from this intense portrayal of the current time, we allow ourselves a little breathing space to re-focus and re-centre as we find that despite the tossing and eddying, within we are still and energised. It is all too easy to get lost in the chaos of life, to be carried along with the currents, but we are not pieces of driftwood unless we choose to be. Sometimes it is easier to be carried along by life for it avoids making big decisions, it avoids taking responsibility and it means that we never truly have to be accountable for what we do, or do not, achieve in life. Strong words, but necessary, for it seems that we have now reached a stage of choice: we can remain as driftwood or we can become at One with the Whole in order to re-claim our true essence and find peace within.

In many ways this is all about perception; if we feel powerless, then we are powerless. If we feel life weary, then life becomes weary. Yet, if we tap into the exciting and exuberating radiance of this magical time, we can begin to find strength, peace and knowing.

We all have times when we feel lost in life; when those dark recesses take over and little light breaks through. Yet, it is from the darkness that realisation emerges, for the darkness is not some alien place to fear or deny, it is a part of each and every one of us. To be balanced and whole, we need to honour the darkness within; to fear it feeds it and encourages it to grow. It is when we honour the darkness that we let go of fear, angst and anxiety; this is not about wallowing in pain and despair though, it is about being honest with ourselves in order to find peace within. It is from this peace that a true sense of purpose and knowing emerges...

As we walk along the twisting and narrow path through stormy seas, fear is the force that erodes the path; it is corrosive and destructive. If we let it, fear takes control and dictates every aspect of our lives. Of course, fear serves a purpose, it warns and alerts, but if left to grow it can consume and take over. This path is not an easy one; it is not for the feint hearted, but intuitively we know that overcoming fear and doubt is the only route to Self. If fear has already seen the path crash into the sea, we can ride the waves; if we crash against the rocks, then we pick ourselves up and keep going.

Of course, to see life as such an arduous journey can add to the fear, and this is part of the shift now: we are reaching a stage where we no longer see the path as some external and challenging ‘force’, we let go of the path and become One with it. If we don’t like a bracing stormy sea path, then we find a promenade or a sandy beach; perception matters...

Heaven Sent

As the Sun and the Moon prepare for a beautiful celestial dance, each of us can expect to feel the beginning of some powerful and profound shifts within. This process has already begun in earnest as we can feel buoyant and full of optimism one moment, but lost and despondent the next. Some may call this ascension syndrome, others call it evolution; either way, we can each expect to feel euphoric, empty, blissful, hollow and peaceful all at the same time.

As our consciousness rises and we awaken, we touch life more deeply and we can begin to see the true inter-connectedness of the Whole. During such an intense experience, we feel such a plethora of emotional peaks and troughs as we seek out balance and understanding. Of course, sometimes we are not meant to understand, we are meant to trust, but as human beings, we need to understand for that is our way.

Standing on the precipice between where we once were and where we want to be, we can feel too scared to breathe; too scared to move. We can feel excited but terrified in the same nano-second. Our senses intensify and we begin to feel so much more than we ever thought possible; like having no skin or no filter, and this can feel awe-inspiring, but it can feel overwhelmingly profound at the same time.

These are confusing times, and we find ourselves surrounded by sleepwalkers yet to awaken or stir; this can feel isolating and it can feel frustrating, but we have to trust that, as individuals, we each have our own path of awakening (or not). This happens in our own time and in our own way; all we can do is to become conduits or channels for love, bliss and joy, and inspire and empower others to do the same.

Even for those of us around the world who will not see the forthcoming Solar Eclipse, the shifts are significant and not to be ignored, for on an energetic and spiritual level, this age old dance between the Sun and the Moon has a powerful impact on the Earth and on each of us, both individually and collectively. We are all energy, and we are all entwined and part of the Universal Whole. During a Solar Eclipse, the energy flow is tweaked and changed akin to someone turning up the voltage on an amp box. Such powerful shifts can feel like electricity coursing through our veins as it is so intense and profound.

As the light of the Sun fades during an eclipse, much comes to the surface to be healed and renewed. Like a mini Dark Night of the Soul, we have to go within to face the depths, the darkness and be without fear. We have to experience the true depth of feeling as our filters fade and we open up to the amazing and incredible light of a new day of consciousness awareness.

This is a time of awakening; a time to embrace the darkness in order to move beyond polarities to a place of centeredness and balance. Of course, we all know that just as the light fades, it soon returns, but we can work with this powerful time to shift our focus, energy, thoughts and intentions towards a new way of living and being, not just for ourselves as individuals, but collectively as well. At the same time, we can extend this to the Earth, her other residents and the Universe – we are all part of the One after all.

This forthcoming Eclipse helps us to embrace the darkness and to realise that there is nothing to fear within. Once we can truly be free of fear, we stop seeing the world and life in terms of stark polarity (dark and light), for we see the fuller picture. We can then begin to embrace our true power and our true essence in order to move beyond definition in order to re-shape and re-create the very fabric of our existence.

This is a powerful time to pause, meditate, heal and release as we prepare to ride the wave through a myriad of cosmic events over the days, weeks, months and years to come...

The Storm Within

As we stand on the precipice of shift, it can be hard to remain sure-footed and confident when the winds of change are gaining strength and the healing rain is lashing down bringing all manner of thoughts, feelings, memories and pain to the surface. The precipice can feel like a lonely place, and as we stand waiting for the sunshine to break through, it can be hard to maintain the faith to keep on keeping on. Sometimes, the darkness gets too much and we have to step back from the edge in order to find shelter; sometimes, we just have to walk away. Yet, for most of us, here we still find ourselves: soaked through, cold, exhausted but still standing, poised and ready to step forward when the time comes.

Who knows what lies beyond the mists beneath our feet, but instinctively we know that we have to have faith and step into uncharted territory in life for that is the only way to evolve, learn and grow. Spiritually and energetically, we know that in order to step closer to our dreams and to our souls, we have to step away from the comfort blankets we have created in life that have softened the longing for something more.

As we shiver in the rain, we may wonder what on earth we are doing; we may feel like we are standing on the outside looking through the window into life where everyone else is cosy and warm by the fire. Our perception can make us feel like we are the only one struggling, going through shift, exploring the soul. Yet, we are not alone, for the precipice is a place where so many find themselves now; standing between where they once were and where they want to be. The precipice is a kind of no-man’s land, and whilst we can feel isolated, when we look up through the wind and rain, we can see hundreds of other faces standing there beside us.

Seeing so many others standing in a similar place warms the soul, for it helps to know that we do not walk alone. Whilst our journey to Self is unique to us as individuals, collectively we are re-awakening and moving toward a new dawn where we step beyond the precipice and find ourselves standing in new, exciting and fertile uncharted terrain. The reward for faith and belief, self-knowing and trust is the promised land. Perhaps the biggest reward of all is the realisation that the promised land is not some distant pasture, but it is within us, around us; it is us.

When we feel battle weary and tired, we can struggle to stay aligned with Spirit and we feel out of tune with the orchestra of life. Whilst we all participate in the orchestra, over time the orchestra has lost its edge, for the magic has ebbed away. Each participant has grown tired simply keeping on keeping on, and bad tuning and duff notes have started to dominate.

And yet, once we connect to the promised land and to the sunlight within, the energy and exuberance returns bringing the orchestra back to life! In essence, this is a time to stop fighting, to start trusting and to reconnect to the light within to guide us through these stormy, yet important times. The more of us that do this, the more the orchestra will regain its strength and form, and will begin to play a sweet and wonderful tune that awakens all the sleepwalkers and brings about lasting Universal change. We may be individuals, but we are all part of the bigger jigsaw puzzle of life and every action we take and thought we have shapes the Whole.

It is when we feel that connection to the Whole, that we feel our own Divinity and our magnificence rising up with passion and power; for we begin to realise that we are our own Creators. We then start to realise that all those dreams of a better life can become reality, for once we let go of the fear we change the dynamic, stop chasing and start creating instead. We remember the mirror effect, and that everything around us is within us; every thought we have shapes our lives, and once we realise the enormity of this, we can begin to change the energy to transform our lives.

We need to let go of fear now, and to realise that the winds and rain of change are a necessary step on the path to Self. The journey to Self begins and ends within, and whilst we may feel exhausted from the journey, we should never lose sight of the destination, for the light will guide us and show us the way. The more we can love and honour ourselves, and the more we can trust the process, the quicker we will move beyond the precipice and find ourselves bathing in the beautiful light of a brand new day...
